Create a Start menu folder on the desktop
NOTE: The following steps will create shortcut to the 'Programs' folder on the Windows 95 desktop.
1) Right-click the Windows 95 desktop. (The desktop pop-up menu appears.)
2) Select 'New' and select 'Shortcut'. (The 'Create Shortcut' dialog box appears.)
3) Type the following in the 'Command Line' box:
<drive>:\Windows\Startm~1\programs
(where: <drive> is the letter name of the local hard disk).
NOTE: Type the path name exactly as it appears in step 3).
4) Click 'Next'.
5) (Optional) Type a name for the new shortcut in the 'Select a name for the shortcut' box.
6) Click 'Finish'. (A shortcut to the 'Programs' folder appears on the Windows 95 desktop.)
